With an international reputation as a leading design institute, the iF awards for outstanding design quality are one of the most prestigious recognitions given to international manufacturers and designers by the International Forum Design in Hannover (Germany). Founded in 1953, iF has always been dedicated to promoting a close dialogue between industry and designers. Philips received its first design award from the iF over 50 years ago and continues to receive awards in various categories.
This year, Philips will receive 27 iF awards for product design. All prize-winning products will be presented at the iF design exhibition 2008 in Hannover, Germany, running from March 4 until August 2008. During this period an estimated 300,000 international visitors are expected to attend.
