Since joining Philips Design in 1996, Lorna Goulden has worked on wide range of projects, ranging from gaming with agent based software to innovative mobile phone interactions; home cinema system controls to exhibition design; and new business creation for a semi-conductor chip to co-creation in a virtual world. In 1999 she set up and managed a design team carrying out early Experience Design research - the foundation of what is widely employed by Philips Design today.
Today Lorna works as the Lead Creative Direction Manager responsible for innovation and strategic projects carried out for external clients. She has had extensive involvement in developing the vision and direction of an innovative public lighting development in Eindhoven for the city council and is now supervising its implementation.
Lorna has taught at the Design Academy in Eindhoven in the ‘Man and Activity’ group. She is also on the steering committee of the Virtueel Platform in Amsterdam and is a member of a local photography group currently working on a collaborative project for exhibition later this year.
