Andrew Hartman, Design Director, New Business Philips Design



Andrew's career with Philips began in Eindhoven in 1989 as a product designer in Consumer Electronics.  Since then, Andrew has worked throughout Europe, Asia and the USA on projects ranging from mobile phones, navigation systems, mobile computing, and flat television.  Since the beginning of 2005, Andrew has been responsible for the delivery of world-class design solutions to clients external to Philips. Several recent projects by Andrew's team have earned awards and recognition for design excellence.

Andrew also serves as an instructor of product experience design at the Design Academy Eindhoven in the Netherlands.  He also served as a juror in the 2006/7 Microsoft Next Gen PC Design competition and the 2008 IDSA/IDEA/Business Week Design Awards.  Andrew has just returned from the International Designers Society Awards in Miami where he was Chairman of the Jury.
